What we aim to accomplish, why and how

Hi there, and welcome to our remote work training course! My name is Klara and I’ll be your advisor and coach throughout this course. I’m happy to know you are interested in making your life as a remote worker the best possible life you can create for yourself!

I’ve been working remotely in various teams for the past 8 years and I have absolutely no desire to stop. Me and my team at Recourse have joined the virtual employee community early on and have since trained many others to adapt to and enjoy this lifestyle. We’ve been experiencing the perks of remote work but also, through mistakes, we learned a lot about the hardships that working this way can bring. We are passionate about sharing our learnings and we want to spare you from starting from scratch and going through years of trial and error until you figure out something which could be learned quite easily.

We realized that it is difficult to find one place with all the information you need, so to learn you would have to read through a lot of articles, blog posts, forums, and try to figure out the point yourself. This requires a lot of time and causes confusion and a feeling of insecurity as you aren’t sure you have the correct information or missing something vital.

With this course we gathered and structured all the best practices, so you could end up feeling secure that you know the basics and are not alone in the dark. We’ll introduce you to the challenges that you can expect when working from a distance and immediately hand you the solutions that will prevent and help you solve these issues. We hope that our insights will clear some common misconceptions and fears by showing that working from home is not as intimidating or lonely as some might think, and that it also doesn’t lack control if done in the right way.

By the end of the course you will lay out a path of healthy, productive and most importantly happy and fun life ahead of you. I will coach you through the steps and give you the tools that you will be able to re-use time and time again in the future whenever you feel you need to stop and get things in check again.

We will go through the basics of the physical setup of your work environment, how to ensure maximum productivity, how to maintain and better your professional relations from a distance and in your private life, and we will also make sure you pay proper attention to your mental, emotional and physical well-being. The end result of the course will be a way for you to be less stressed, more confident, healthier and more energetic with great relationships. And in practical terms, you will get a toolset to create a personalized schedule that you adapt to your own life and needs.
